Thanks Mike! This has been a fun project. I look forward to sharing the results with everyone in just a few weeks. I hope that we have something that everyone can use and apply to their events. Though, I do expect a lot of discussion on the list.

On recording of the session -> One way or another - we will record the session for everyone to watch. The results will be published on the EIBTM website and here as well.

Thanks for your nice compliment on my blog! - I still have a lot to learn about writing and blogging.

Thanks for mentioning ChirpE, Dave. Great Example! The computing power, access to event information and access to attendees/exhibitors that we can put into the palm of an attendee's hand is amazing.

I am really interested to see how the market embraces these mobile tools over the next few years. AND - I am interested to see how much pressure attendees will put on event organizers to offer these tools. It should be an interesting next few years.

Thanks for your comment!

Hey Sam,

This was a great post and I am really excited to see the content you put together for this session.

Unfortunately, like Midori, I will not have the luxury of traveling to Barcelona, so I truly hope this event will be webcast or at the very least offered as an archive presentation.

By the way I have to tell you I really do appreciate and enjoy your blog. All the articles are well written, timely, informative and pointed!!!

Thanks so much for your contributions to the Event Professionals world...

Sam, sounds like a great session. I'm looking forward to hearing more!

The one technology that has impressed me most comes from one of my largest clients, a2z, Inc. (so I'm a bit biased, but also impressed).

Over the past 12 months, they've launched their mobile application, ChirpE and also their ChirpE facebook app. What I like most about all of this is that it leverages an Association or Tradeshow Organizers event website and makes it accessable on other platforms. They're not just doing a slim app that looks cool...they're leveraging the floor plan, expo sales process and data collection to publish to the web and improve attendee marketing and engagement. Their product, ChirpE, also won the TSE 2009 Innovation Award.

Here's a link to the press release on this product - http://www.exhibitoronline.com/news/enn-display.asp?counter=7837

Great one Samuel! I love it...what a handy concept. I'm looking forward to seeing the results.
Will this be streamed live to the Internet or at least captured for later viewing? Wouldn't want to miss it!
